Rule 25
Removal of name from electoral roll on grounds of death or migration etc.

(1) Sub-rule (3) of Rule 9, Rule 16 or 20 of any voter whose name is included in the voter list has died or has permanently migrated from the respective constituency or has renounced Nepali citizenship or has lost the eligibility to remain in the voter list. A voter can give notice to the Assistant Registration Officer within the time period mentioned in the programme.
(2) After receiving the information according to sub-rule (1), the assistant registration officer, as per the requirement, the office of the local registrar in relation to whether the voter whose name is included in the voter list has died or has migrated or has renounced Nepali citizenship or has lost the eligibility to be a voter. It can be understood in any office of local body or district administration office.
(3) In the course of examining the information received as per sub-rule (1), if the name of the concerned voter is not to be removed from the voter's list, the Assistant Registration Officer shall publish a notice in his office in the format as per Schedule-11 asking him to submit his statement along with relevant evidence.
(4) If it is found that a voter's name should be removed from the voter's list after understanding according to sub-rule (2) or evaluating the evidence obtained according to sub-rule (3), the Assistant Registration Officer shall remove the name of such voter from the voter's list.
(5) Notwithstanding anything written elsewhere in this rule, if a voter has married or migrated to another place or has died, if it is seen from the records of the local registrar's office, the assistant name registration officer can remove or move the name of such deceased voter himself as mentioned in the program. If you are unable to remove or move yourself from the voter list, you should submit your name to the Chief Registration Officer to remove or move it from the electoral roll. (6) If the details submitted under sub-rule (5) are checked, such name should be removedIn this case, the Chief Name Registration Officer will have to remove such name.
(7) In case the name of a voter is removed from the voter's list according to this rule, the notification of the same shall be published by the Assistant Name Registration Officer in his office in the format as per Schedule-10.
(8) When publishing the notice according to sub-rule (3) or (7), a bond must be prepared in the format as per schedule-4.
